We often get quite a few kayakers come to Porthkerris to launch, we are a very sheltered bay in most winds so it makes an easy access.  However, If there is East in the wind then it's not good for us here so do give us a call to check the conditions before you come down if you see that the wind is in this direction.

The kayaking off Porthkerris is 'Stunning', not only do you have a long stretch of cornish coastline to admire, there is also a pub that you can stop off at in the next bay along!  And if you're lucky you might get a Basking Shark come alongside you!  We also have The Helford River close to us, which is fantastic for kayaking, with lots of creeks to amble around.
In the past we have also had kayaking clubs come down and camp and use the place for their 'Festivities' with races, games and general fun competitions going on.  
We do not charge people to launch their kayaks from Porthkerris, but do charge £2.00 to park the car per day.
